If it's a public area, unless there are no trespassing signs or other restrictions, and it's during operation hours, we will most likely investigate. However, we always go the extra step FIRST and double-check with the people in charge to let them know we will be there and if there are any other steps we need to take in order to stay on the right side of the law. As long as you're visiting parks, etc. during the operating hours, then you're safe. If you're talking about a cemetery, however, chances are you'll be there after hours and it's best to get permission first. In other words, if you're not sure...ASK first. Always. So it turns out that he was here in the Springs as well and I told him we should go check it out. So off we went and my sister Kylea went along for the ride. I was skeptical because I've only seen paranormal research and ghostly encounters on tv and never in person. Long story short. My buddy Matt and my sister and I drove through tunnel one and two. Then we hiked up to tunnel three. Took a few photos and decided to head back down. On the way we had planned to stop in the middle of tunnel two and take some video and a couple of stills outside of the vehicle. At this time it was only about 6:00 pm. Not late or even close to midnight, but it was really dark. So I took the first photo of Matt and my sister Kylea in front of the car and just a regular photo appeared, behind the car it was pitch black. Then Matt took a picture of my sister and I next to the various graffiti on the wall. Nothing seemed to be out of place or even remotely haunted. The lights to the car were on and we had metallica blasting on the radio with the windows rolled down. I didn't think this was for real. I felt pretty good. Matt asked me if i was scared and i told him no I wasn't. Ok nothing is happening so we decided it was time to leave but before we left I said let me get a photo from the back of the car facing the rear tunnel because it was pitch black back there. So just before I snapped the photo I said in a british accent, "if there are any spirits here show your self". I was joking but what showed up on the photo gave me chills and I quickly turned around and said it's time to leave now get in the car. Their is this creepy fog like mist that showed up and its clear of two scary faces and a bone like arm reaching out. I would like some info as to what the history of the tunnel is and what is actually haunting that place. I can email the pics that I took that night if you would like confirmation of the incident.
